Barclay Crenshaw (yes the artist; yes that’s his real name) is back today with another dose of hip-hop, broken beats, acid-trip bass and jungle influences with Transmission 002. From his first set as himself at Dirtybird Campout last year on a cool stars-gazing early morning, to his first Transmission 001 mixtape, to his self-titled album, and after countless live sets on Holy Ship!, Movement, and his own tour, he returns with Transmission 002.
At this point we’re convinced that Barclay is other-worldly because who else can run a record label, produce/DJ as himself, Claude VonStroke, and GET REAL, along with who else knows what other secret projects, release a weekly podcast, and host what seems like every weekend a Birdhouse stage at festivals around the world. Only someone from beyond. Or a robot.
