We’re a week away from Bass Center 2016 (IX) and it’s time to pack, whether to hit the road, hit the tarmac, or load up your RV and start the cross-country trek! But before you get into the “OMFG BASS CENTER IS IN ONE WEEK” rant like we’ve all been doing, make sure you’re ready to know what you can and cannot bring inside of Dick’s Sporting Goods for the festival itself. This is NOT the list for the camping area. For the camping area, please refer to the full camping information document here.
The following is a prohibited/restricted items inside the Dick’s Sporting Goods Park facility during the event:
- Weapons of any kind (i.e. knives, pepper spray, stun-guns, concealed weapons, firearms,
spikes, chains, etc.) and any weapon accessories - Fireworks, or any type of pyrotechnics
- Flammable products or materials and sprays
- Any missile / projectile like objects; Frisbees; Streamers of any kind
- Laser pointers/pens, any focus light beam devices
- LED gloves or LED microlights
- Large golf umbrellas or umbrellas with metal tips
- Large backpacks, suitcases, beach bags, equipment bags, etc.
- Hard case containers (coolers, briefcases, or containers of any size)
- Glass in any form; aluminum cans
- Outside food and beverages
- Outside alcohol
- Illegal drugs and paraphernalia
- Unsealed: cigarette packages, tampons, packs of gum, chapstick / lip gloss
- Electronic or vapor cigarettes that are not new factory sealed
- Vitamins
- Instruments, Vuvuzelas, Air horns or whistles of any kind
- Chemicals or illegal substances
- Water guns, water balloons, and / or any other kind of water projectile
- Glowsticks
- Gas masks or tactical clothing
- Eye drops; Pacifiers
- Un-approved pamphlets, handouts, advertisements, etc.
- Stickers or flyers
- Markers, pens or spray paint
- Skateboards, roller blades, roller skates, roller shoes, etc.
- Professional cameras; External flash camera units
- Interchangeable/detachable camera lens
- Audio/video recording devices including, but not limited to, Google Glass and other similar technology
- Camera monopods/bipods/tripods; Selfie sticks
- Drones
- Outside chairs
- Animals (except service animals with paper work and bib)
- Stuffed animals or dolls
- Any item that can be used as a means to disturb the peace, endanger the safety of the crowd, and / or inflict damage to people or property.
- Other items as determined by facility management
The following items ARE permitted inside:
- Factory sealed, clear plastic water bottles measuring 20oz or less may be brought into the facility. Venue security will remove the caps upon entrance.
- Empty, clear plastic refillable bottles
- CamelBak-style water bladder systems. All bladder systems must be removable, transparent, and empty upon entrance inspection. Additionally, CamelBak-style bladder carriers may have no more than 2 main compartments and 1 small compartment.
- Soft-sided bags no larger than 12” x 12” x 12”. All bags are subject to search prior to
entry. - Masks: All masks must be removable and are subject to search when entering the venue. Any masks that cannot be removed and/or searched will be denied entry by security.
- Totems — all totems must be constructed in such a way as to not be considered a threat to public safety and venue security reserves the right to make the final determination about totems on a case-by-case basis.
- Prescription medications in original prescription bottle (with government-issued photo ID that matches name on printed prescription). Prescription bottles with mixed pills will be turned over to on-site medical representatives for final determination.
- Over the counter medications are allowed provided they are new and in the original, factory-sealed container.
- Costumes
- Earplugs
- Reusable (either battery-powered or rechargeable) light-up toys
- Face paint
- Hula hoops
- Non-profession digital and film cameras, including cellphone cameras
- Reasonable amount of inflatable toys
- Sealed: cigarette packages, packs of gum, tampons, and chapstick/lip gloss
- Lighters
- Service dogs for persons with disabilities and other service animals
