The countdown has reached three days. Just three more days until the historic venue of MSG gets the heaviest dose of bass yet in its illustrious life. The lineup of Paper Diamond, Rusko, Big G, and the King of the Sound himself needs no more hyping, my head may explode from anticipation. Being at Madison Square Garden though, some items previously allowed at some Bassnectar shows may or may not be allowed in this time. So being the investigative journalist I am, I undertook the enormous task of…calling the MSG operator so you wouldn’t have to. Below is a list of some noteworthy items that are and aren’t allowed in on Saturday.
*Show starts at 8 P.M. Anyone with a GA ticket can enter at 6:00, while non-GA ticketholders can enter at 7:00. As of right now there is no official word on when the show will end.
**There is no coat check
Not Allowed
Outside of the obvious “no illegal weapons/drug paraphernalia” here’s what isn’t allowed:
- Totems of any kind
- Sealed water bottles
- Sealed candy/gum/outside food of any kind
- E-Cigs
- Oversized bags
- Professional cameras/cameras w/zoom lens
Allowed
- Handheld signs (not mounted on stick/pole)
- LED Gloves
- Sealed Chapstick
- Empty Camelbacks
- Sealed cigarettes
- Digital/point-and-shoot camera
One final note would be that while sealed cigarettes are allowed, MSG is a non-smoking arena with no outdoor smoking area and no re-entry. Smoke at your own risk!
Also hoops are at the discretion of the security guard at the gate, I was given no guarantee they would or wouldn’t be allowed. Hopefully you catch your security on a good day.
That’s all we got. Hope to see you all there and may our faces be in a collective puddle on the ground when it’s all over.
