26 days everybody! So that mean by this weekend we only have to wait 14 days and then its just a quick week and we’re there. Only 19 business days till we’re ordering too much food at the Waffle House because you can’t beat the All-Star Combo. When you put it that way it seems so close we can literally taste it. With so little time until we all convene in Hampton we have put together a quick playlist to familiarize everyone to the up-and-comers like Eliot Lipp and Exmag, while still giving you the classics of PL and Nectar.
We’ve included a bunch of tracks from Lipp like “Jacques Nouveau” and “Victory” which was our top choice for releases by PLM in 2014. We’ve dug through Beats Antique’s albums A Thousand Faces and Collide to bring you our favorite tunes and hopefully further convince you to catch their set. There’s some smooth, sensual Chromeo to get you in the mood for their set, and the grooviest tunes that EXMAG has to offer like “Fresh Prince Situation” and “Takin’ it To The Max.” Of course we’ve included the PL classics like “Keep Em Bouncin'” and “Forever Lost” to prepare you for his night two closing set, and Nectar’s newest “Thursty” (which we advise to listen at your own risk and preferably while you’re doing some heavy lifting) and older tunes like “Ugly” and “Do It Like This.”
Play this to drown out the sound of your parents complaining you spend too much money on this “Bassnectar guy”. Play this for your dog because everyone knows dogs love Pretty Lights. Blast out speakers and play this in your neighborhood so everyone knows you’re the headiest kid on the block. Whatever your use, we hope you enjoy our Basslights 2014 playlist and we can’t wait to see all you beautiful people in Virginia.
