Earlier today Bassnectar, aka Lorin, posted a meaningful message on Instagram and Facebook to his fans about being grateful for the luxuries we have in life. In this case, it was clean water. His Instagram post was a photo of running faucet-water into a glass. The caption that belonged to the Instagram post read,
“I just went & turned on the faucet & all this pure, clean water came gushing out. Our access to water is insane; so easy to take for granted.”
Some of his followers must have not gotten the point of the message clearly, and began to write posts of how faucet water has Fluoride in it. Lorin’s facebook post that he wrote in response to those comments, are in my mind, completely called for and appropriate.
With a post like this, it does not surprise me that Bassnectar has the sound in his music that he does. He has a different way of thinking, and a beautiful mind that produces such an individual kind of sound. Thank you Lorin for trying to make people understand that they should not take the little things in life for granted!
