The Bassnectar team has been hinting at a new EP releasing this year for quite some time, and last weekend, it was finally released. This Reflective (Part One) consists of six tracks, each more captivating than the last. Some have heard a few of these tracks before at live shows, but the rest of them have never been heard before.
The first track, “Arps of Revolucion,” is a calm, laid-back tune that is the perfect song to begin this EP. Next is a collaboration with Gnar Gnar, “I’m Up,” feat. Born I Music. This track begins slow and builds into a heavy, bass-filled adventure. Afterwards is “Was Will Be” feat. Mimi Page, which is a slowly building, beautiful transition. This song tells a story. It begins soft and builds into a greater climax until it gradually calms again. Next is “Infrared” feat. Macntaj. This tune is fun, upbeat and will make you want to get up and dance. It will definitely be a crowd favorite. Our next track is a collaboration with G Jones called “Underground.” This song has been performed at numerous events and is already a hit. It is heavy, wubby, and catchy. The final song on theReflective EP (Part One) is a collaboration with Dorfex Bos, “Horizons.” This tune begins slow and soft, then turns into a heavy wub tune.
