Three weeks, three free songs off Bassnectar’s album Noise vs. Beauty. First it was “Now“, then it was “Ephemeral,” and last night Bassnectar premiered to the world “You And Me” through Sirius XM BPM. When Lorin stated that “each of the 15 tracks will represent a different end of the music spectrum”, he wasn’t kidding. “You And Me” is a sound fresh from anything he’s produced to date and will certainly be a welcomed addition to the album. Uplifting, pure vocals throughout are complimented beautifully by an electric guitar to forge a sound we haven’t come to expect from the bass-savior. Sometimes though as this song proves, the unexpected is a great thing.
The variety of each of these three tracks is truly amazing, proving there will be something for everyone on the ensuing 15 track album set for release June 24. With Red Rocks 10 days away (but who’s counting, right) Lorin is sure to be debuting a bunch of tracks off NVSB, and these three songs have taught us to expect meticulously produced tracks which cover all the bases.
