There are few if any artists in music today as outspoken as Lorin Ashton. His open discussions about topics such as the NSA, drug use, and war crimes have attracted the most well-rounded fanbase in the scene. A few years ago, Bassnectar and his team started an initiative where $1 for every ticket sold would go towards organizations that reflect the ideals of Bass Heads around the world. Of the five organizations voted on, the one with the most votes would get a $25,000 donation, 2nd would get $20,000, 3rd would get $15,000, 4th would receive $10k, and 5th would get $5,000.
This years’ edition of the campaign features the Khan Academy, Headcount, The Center For Media Justice, Center For Rights, and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
