Although the iconic pair have been rather silent in the past few months despite last year’s release of their highly-anticipated come back album, Random Access Memories, it has been announced that BBC Worldwide Production France will be producing an hour-long documentary about the legendary robot duo, Daft Punk. Set to air in 2015, this feature film, which is said to be the first independent film about the group, will be produced for French pay-TV channel Canal Plus, and will give an account of their climb to the top to become leading, and influential figures in the electronic music scene.
Directed by Hervé Martin Delpierre, and co-written by Marina Rozenman, this documentary will most definitely be packed with material to give fans some more insight on Thomas Bangalter and Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo (who comprise the six-time Grammy award winning group), and their highly-successful, and eminent career which, though it’s still ongoing, has spanned longer than twenty years.
