Beatport has always been the forefront source for music from DJs, and music for DJs. Having extensive coverage on subgenres as breaks, minimal, psy-trance, to hardcore, if you love any form of EDM, Beatport is your haven. Recently Beatport has launched Beatport Pro. Think of it as if Spotify and iTunes had a love child. Following artists as with Spotify, easier music management, and much more.
With this new site, Beatport is also celebrating #BeatportDecade for 10 weeks, having a celebrated artist for a specific genre pick their favorite 10 songs of the past 10 years.
For the first week, your boy Hardwell has taken the reigns to cover Progressive House. And as you can see with the schedule, every Monday, a new list.
While you cannot listen to each of the songs that the artist chose in its entirety, Beatport Pro gives you the artist’s profile with accomplishments, their top 10 songs of the past decade for the genre that they are in charge of, and additionally has teamed up with T-Mobile to give you free 320kbps songs for every weekday. So far, it looks as though it’ll only be free songs from the artist that is featured, but we’ll need to wait until all of the free songs are released for the first full week. But still, that means 10 weeks of genres, five free songs a week. Fifty new songs over the next 10 weeks. And you don’t have to sign up with Beatport Pro or do a damn thing. Godsent.
Make sure you check back each Monday to see what genre and artist are spotlighted, and most importantly, free music!
you will love it
