As Big Dub Festival creeps closer we like to highlight some of the premiere dubstep artists that will be performing across the five day festival. Although Big Dub will host some of the biggest and most exciting bass acts in the industry, it’s the smaller names that will be making the bigger impact on the fans and the experience. Real name Valentin Brunn, Virtual Riot has been producing some of the most intense dubstep since his beginnings in 2011. A signee of Disciple Records, he’s only been growing the past couple of years with SoundCloud and Youtube followers topping the hundreds of thousands.
The German native has released too many tracks to count and appears to have no intentions of slowing down. His dubstep can be described as something that’s grimy and edgy but still packs the punch we all love in hard dubstep tracks. In just under a year he’s released two four track EP’s, one of which amassed over one million combined plays. Just two months ago he unleashed his long awaited “Chemistry” EP. The four track monster features some hardcore dubstep tracks that Virtual Riot got his start on. With collaborations with artists like 12th Planet, Funtcase, and Dubloadz; it’s no wonder Virtual Riot has been taking over the bass scene. However, his production talents do not stop at just hardcore dubstep. He also has the ability to fuse together spacey/melodic dubstep with his hardcore talents to create nothing more than perfect Virtual Riot.
