There’s a duo on the rise — Black Girl / White Girl comprised of the talented DJ/producers, Ty and Karin have been making waves in the electronic dance sphere with their eclectic, fresh tech meets house style.
Over the last two years, Black Girl / White Girl has charted with massive hits on the reputable labels, Relief, Kittball, Desert Hearts, and Roush. The dynamic pair is now showing their prowess on a new label, debuting on Psycho Disco! with their While Tripping EP. The two-track EP has already garnered major support from veteran peers, Jamie Jones, Green Velvet, Detlef, Riva Starr and more.
While Tripping opens with “Crispy Tooth,” a heart-racing tech house track that’s guaranteed to get the party started. A deep, deep bassline, oscillating layers, and intertwining vocals. It takes you on one hell of a ride. “Rave Slang” follows with a little more groove, wobbling synths, swirling vocals, and some mighty kicks to top it off. Together, these tracks will burn up any dance floor.
Black Girl / White Girl shared some words about the EP:
“Anytime we create music, we really need it to sound like us. We just can’t be average and make dull music – it’s 100% about putting out fast, dark & weighty house tracks that just crush any dancefloor. ‘Crispy Tooth’ and ‘Rave Slang’ are both super techy and have those qualities. We really enjoyed playing around with our trusty Microbrute for ‘Crispy Tooth’! You could say we got some pretty rude sounds out of it. We also loved mangling the 303 sequences on ‘Rave Slang’, which we processed further to make ’em sound extra deep & dirty. This one’s for our trippy nightcrawlers out there. Hope you dig ’em!”
