Italian dance-punk legend The Bloody Beetroots has recently been teaming up with the iconic ex-Beatle Paul McCartney for a new single set to release June 14th, entitled “Out of Sight”. From the short preview we have been given, it appears to be a high-energy track that blends McCartney’s legendary and emotional style flawlessly. The track will also feature dance-music collaborator Youth, whom has made electronic records with McCartney over the past two decades under the moniker The Fireman.
This is not entirely new to McCartney, as he has been dabbling in electronic music with the aforementioned “The Fireman” duo. While aging, his career has not settled one bit. In the past year, he has released his fifth classical album, released a new LP “Kisses On the Bottom”, closed out the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Concert and played the 2012 Summer Olympic closing ceremony emphatically. He has even released a track “Cut Me Some Slack” with the surviving members of Nirvana.
This should be very interesting to hear once its finally released. McCartney is a musical genius, as well as Bloody Beetroots and Youth, so the trifecta is sure to not disappoint. While McCartney is not as in-tune with current electronic music as The Bloody Beetroots, we can imagine that the blurring of generations on this track will be more of a nice addition than taking away from it.
