Bonnaroo Superjams are always a once in a lifetime experience. This past Saturday, Bonnaroovians had the pleasure to see one unlike any other as a variety of artists took over the stage. After his phenomenal two hour set the night before, Skrillex brought out star after star for the Superjam. We saw Dom of Big Gigantic, Zedd, Thundercat, A$AP Ferg, Janelle Monae, Mystikal, Robby Kreiger of The Doors, Cage The Elephant’s Matt Shultz, and the surprise guest, Miss Lauryn Hill. Skrillex bounced around the stage gripping his guitar and whipping his hair. “It’s been years since I actually played with a live band,” he said. “I wouldn’t even call this a live band. It’s like… some alien race of music.” The energy during the final song “Ready or Not” with Damien Marley and Lauryn Hill was astronomical. It was a legendary Superjam on the farm without a doubt.
