The Roo clues have started to flow in the past few weeks. The vague clues that allude to line up of the sacred festival that is Bonnaroo. The 16th year of this hallowed festival is on the horizon line as the weeks and days dwindle down to that first weekend in June. Summer begins and the “Woodstock” inspired festival kicks it off.
Bonnaroo gets its religious fans and followers excited by dropping hints in the form of Roo Clues in the days leading up to the festival. Comments overwhelm the vague snippets of lyrics or haiku’s that the organizers release on Bonnaroo’s social media outlets.
Last year the festival included headliners Pearl Jam, LCD Soundsystem, and Dead & Co. The whole line up was stacked with every genre you can imagine. Cashmere Cat, Zeds Dead, and The Chainsmokers represented the EDM community. Third Eye Blind, Ellie Goulding, and Tame Impala made sure the alt/indie rock people had something to groove to. Even county and metal had a stake in Bonnaroos mass fest with names like Chris Stapleton and Lamb of God making an appearance.
Who knows what kind of line up Bonnaroo has in store. The leaks and guesses are apparent in droves, but only January 11th with provide the answers we all seek.
