John Borger, better known as Borgeous, will have effectively infected your radar by the end of this post.
A California native, Borger made splashes on the scene with his last release of Gangsterous (also included) and followed suit with a surprisingly different sound that will surely make a statement throughout the buzz worthy trap music community.
Borgeous samples Tupac’s timeless track California Love. Instead of generating one of those slower 808 renditions, he created a tune with a little more pulse and vibrant energy. Something that could seamlessly find its way into a set full of diversity without diverging far from any particular genre or groove at hand.
Note: This track was co-produced by John’s close friends The Cataracs.
Also listen to Gangsterous because it’s unbelievably good as well. I love the way he uses a hip hop influence while directing the track in the clear path of his unique vision.
