Ethnic and underground house guru BOSA has made a thrilling return with his new EP, Contrast, out through Alpha Pup Records. Featuring artwork from Axon Genesis, the compilation begins with “Mon Coeur”. A collaboration with MonsterLuna, this track puts listeners in a state of zen with its chilling lyrics and blissful melodies. BOSA teams up with Red Giant Project and Emma Lucia on the second single in Contrast, “Here It Comes”. This mind-bending anthem is just as captivating, embodying dreamy echoes and ethereal soundscapes.
“Mama Quilla” with MonsterLuna and “Soulality” with Nectar de Estrellas make up the second half of Bosa’s Contrast. While “Mama Quilla” radiates a lighthearted percussion-centric bassline, “Soulality” is a bit deeper in its vocals and effects. Speaking on the EP as a whole, BOSA says, “it is more defined by the vibe it creates than any particular language or cultural background. I wanted to explore themes of cultural identity and highlight the unique, global sound that sets BOSA apart, and celebrate the very cultures that inspire me.”
Listening through Contrast it is quite clear that BOSA has dedicated many years to cultivating his exotic signature style of music. This has led to appearances at Coachella, Burning Man, and other renowned festivals. Bringing together a group of imaginative artists, Contrast foreshadows more entrancing projects from BOSA this year.
