It’s no wonder Player Dave has developed a loving fanbase. “Boundless Perception” is just the latest example of the hipness and clear-cut elegance he brings to the table. In particular with the single, reverb-heavy synth-work adds to the trippy nature led on by the eased, but 808-induced percussion end. Thrown in the some echoey guitar chords and crooning, sustained vocal notes that fade in and out, and “Boundless Perception” beings to take shape.
“When PD first showed me the initial ideas on his album years ago I was super inspired by the diversity of sounds and was honored to contribute to the project with our tune. Writing the track together was natural and flowed from start to finish very quickly. PD is a life long friend and I’m blessed to have him in my life.”
– FLY
San Diego based, Player Dave grew up with an instrumentation background. Piano, cello, drums, and violin practice early on undoubtedly plays a role in his keen ear for sonic direction and style within his music today.
Where The Wind Blew Me, will be Player Dave’s soon-to-be-released LP. A wide ranging 11-tracks will vividly showcase what’s been going on behind closed doors for the solo electronic musician. With “Boundless Perception” being the 2nd single from the album, the release date info should be not too far behind.
“After a few years of collaborating together, Naseem (FLY) and I developed this sound that was noticeably different from either of our solo work. We got closer to what was in our heads each time we worked together, and finally hit the nail on the head with ‘Boundless Perception’”
