Today Gramatik and the rest of Lowtemp announced the newest member of the collective, a producer known as BRANX. Formerly known as DCarls, BRANX describes his sound as “juicy funk & colossal beats”. DCarls’ sound was very funky to begin with, so it’s no surprise that he would fully evolve into what BRANX is. His debut track, “Smooth Operator”, is a funky, disco-esque tune with a tight, pounding beat, smooth bass and futuristic synths. It also features Russ Liquid on the keys. BRANX is a great addition to Lowtemp and expect to hear more releases soon.
