Yesterday Break Science released the second single off their upcoming album, ‘Seven Bridges’, entitled “Breath of Space” featuring the contralto vocals of Sonya Kitchell. The single showcases a chill side to Break Science, with foggy synths and sub-bass, leading into a nice hip-hop beat throughout the track from Adam Deitch and a cascade of sparkling synths from Borahm Lee. The slow atmosphere of the song goes perfectly with Kitchell’s vocals, who sound eerily similar to vocals of Florence of Florence + The Machine.
Along with this release was the announcement that Break Science’s first full-length album, ‘Seven Bridges’ will be released October 1st via Pretty Lights Music. It’s been about a year since the last Break Science release, when they teamed up with fellow PLM member Michal Menert for the ‘Twilight Frequency’ EP. Their last solo EP was almost two years ago with the ‘Monolith Code’ EP, so it’s really great to hear that the duo have been working hard on a lot of new material. The first single off ‘Seven Bridges’, entitled “Who Got It” featuring Redman, was released about a month ago via PLM.
