Hands down, Bricks has something infectious about his work. “Bounce” is his latest. One of many aspects that stick out is his sound design. Everything from huge horns, massive bass, sly synths, and more all make their way into one song. “Bounce” has it’s own theme that is conveyed, but purely through instrumental and low-pitch vocal samples.
Living on the west coast, Bricks started a brand new alias in 2016, “Bounce” being his 4th song thus far. He has a few key things worth noting that prove consistent growth is on the horizon: each release is similar but different, a balance that’s that’s easier said than done. His branding is strong, showcasing color schemes that ties one release to the next, and finally, his sound is all it’s own. Can’t think of anyone that has tapped into the type of commercial instrumental pop-house that Bricks has, which is wonderful.
I’m certain this won’t be the last time we have heard from Bricks.
