The Joker EP is an extraterrestrial bass music experience brought to you by the psychedelic bass stylings of Eric Tully from Queens, New York. The six track EP takes you on an unpredictable journey exploring a plethora of different musical styles while still moving cohesively through the waters of the Brightside psyche.
“Wooklyn” is the third track on the EP, an urban trap-fused banger that we are stoked to be releasing a sneak peak of today. This collaborative effort with Ludge stands out as the most widely appealing track of the new releases, packaged dance floor ready with charismatic basslines and future feels.
The highly anticipated EP in it’s entirety will be available to the masses tomorrow, Tuesday 1/19, and we promise you have much to look forward to. Prepare for a listening voyage that kicks off with a squishy adventure through “Neighbors Are Knocking” and “PondHopper,” really smart future bass, constantly moving and evolving as you progress through the tracks. Light trap elements emerge again in “Two Terms,” co-produced with tsimba, which was paired with a powerful protest clip in a sneak preview that can be viewed on Brightside’s Facebook page. “I Fall In Love Too Easy,” may be our favorite track off the whole EP, incorporating Middle-Eastern sounds, the track makes for seriously hypnotic listening. “Namedropper” brings the EP to a close in full force in what we could imagine would be the soundtrack for breaching the space/time continuum.
