Bud Light has been on a #WhateverUSA campaign run over the last few months. They’re planning on creating an “epic town for three days of unexpected fun” and the only way to get a ticket it to “prove you’re up for whatever.” Sounds interesting.
Though, with this campaign has come two EDM-focused attempts at hilarity which have only resulted in complete and utter failure. Now listen, we expected the Anheuser-Busch brand to try to cash in on the electronic dance music fans… but they could have done so much better.
The two videos they published on their Facebook page, which has now accumulated seven million likes, are titled “DJ Picnic” and “Sir Wrecks A-lot.” The first short film, “DJ Picnic,” makes pretty much no sense while “Sir Wrecks A-lot” stabs at the “drop the bass” joke that all seasoned dance music fans now despise.
C’mon Bud Light…
