The legendary Camp Bisco is two weeks away and the anticipation is starting to become all too real. The massive three day campout filled with endless activities will take place Thursday-Saturday on July 14-16th. Three days of camping out, amazing music, and even better vibes. If you haven’t purchased tickets to this event yet, you can still buy GA tickets here. A camping pass is NOT provided with your GA ticket, so be sure to purchase that separately if you plan to camp! Camp Bisco is boasting quite the impressive lineup this year. We will see performances from artists like Griz, Odesza, Zeds Dead, and Big Grizmatik (Griz, Gramatik, Big Gigantic). Big Grizmatik will likely be one of the most interesting performances of the festival, however today we will spotlight the equally worthy renowned trap and heaven trap kings, NGHTMRE and Slander. They sell out nearly every venue they perform at and have been the talk of 2015 and 2016.
Both Slander & NGHTMRE are slated to perform on the first day of Bisco. The two artists are both members of “Prodigy Artists” with JOYRYDE and Bobby Puma. However, it’s not just being apart of Prodigy Artists that makes them best buddies, Slander & NGHTMRE have collaborated multiple times and can often be found attending festivals or skiing together. Due to the fact their performances are on the same day, we can hopefully see guest appearances during each of their sets! Enough about their bromance though, let’s take a look at what we can expect from these premiere trap artists at Camp Bisco.
Slander
If you haven’t heard of Slander and how they’ve been conquering the electronic scene with every release, today is your lucky day. Since their initial festival trap edit with NGHTMRE of Showtek’s “We Like to Party”, these LA based producers have been releasing non stop bangers. Essentially paving the way for other heaven trap producers, they have captivated their fans with spectacular releases that never disappoint. Whether it’s the euphoric “Love Again” ft Wavz, or the harder side of Slander with their newest remix of Kill the Noise’s “Kill It 4 The Kids”, these talented producers can do it all. They recently uploaded their EDC Las Vegas 2016 set that can be found here.
The impressive set features some of their classics as well as several collaborations with NGHTMRE after bringing him on stage midway through their performance. If you’re not sold yet, consider the fact that they have a passion for Above & Beyond’s music with their heaven trap remix of the acoustic “Love Is Not Enough” sang by Zoe Johnston. The duo also attended a show of Above & Beyond’s recent acoustic tour. We’ll post a few of our favorite Slander remixes and singles below! Hope to see you at their performance!
NGHTMRE
Although having multiple collaborations and being very similar to Slander, NGHTMRE’s live performances are generally much different. While Slander will throw down some sick heaven trap, NGHTMRE usually tends to stick to harder trap with his releases and live sets. However, this has not stopped him from venturing into other genres especially in his recent collaboration with Dillon Francis on “Need You”. The mainly moombahton track is a true test of NGHTMRE’s ability to producer any type of music, however there’s also no one better to collaborate with than Dillon Francis. Paired with equally interesting music video, the track is one you can expect to hear in his Bisco set.
Sticking to one particular genre has never been NGHTMRE’s thing in his sets, you’ll often see him mixing in some classics like Blink 182. He’s released several new collaborations and an EP so far this year, we can look forward to hearing a ton of new stuff for his debut Camp Bisco performance! Expect to see him drenched in sweat after his performance, the guy goes in like none other when on the decks. We hope to see you at either NGHTMRE’s or Slander’s performance at Bisco, it’s certainly one you won’t want to miss! We’ll post some of our favorite NGHTMRE tracks below!
