Toronto native producer, Samantha Infusini, also known as Canabliss, is quickly finding a name for herself with the bass sector of the electronic music scene.
She has played alongside TroyBoi, Peekaboo, and Tripzy Leary. Since her first SSKWAN release, ‘Freak It,’ in July of 2021, she’s made herself known with WAKAAN and her first and very energetic EP Plasma. Looking for the right set of tunes to really heal your soul and align your Chakras? Look no further than Plasma.
Starting off with “Currents“, feeling like you’re on a yoga retreat on a beach. As you listen to Sirens and their enchanting voices you start to float away, and suddenly you are hit in the face with waves of deep dark beautiful BASS.
“Quicksand” is a stroll through the “Underworld” and before you know it, you find yourself channeling your inner weird as you completely immerse in the track.
“Safety Island” Carries the same theme as the first two tracks in this mind-bending part of the journey with wubz and synths. Setting it apart from the others is that the track gives the listener a sense of “don’t worry, we are coming to get you” as you hear the sirens making their way through the genre layering elements of the song.
“Sojourn” comes to our rescue. Reassuring us that all will be well. With some mesmerizing vocal samples, moments of highs and lows and melodic vibes Canabliss reminds us to let the music guide us as we come to a beautiful end of our spiritual journey with PLASMA.
Electricity is everywhere, even in our own brains. Currents is about forming connections spiritually and physically in life. In this EP ‘Plasma’ I explored new sound design with tons of heavy bass and dark atmospheres to help express some of the more difficult times we experienced these past couple of years. In Canada, we’ve still been pretty much locked down without any live music available, so writing music has been my primary outlet.
