Motion Notion has long been a staple in Canada delivering some of the best lineups to our friendly North American neighbor. After 18 consecutive years of this festival it’s not hard to realize why it’s such a big deal in Canada. It’ll take place this year in the Rocky Mountains of Golden, BC from August 24th-28th. Phase one brought massive headliners like Datsik, Avalon, Dirtyphonics, Koan Sound, The M Machine, and Minnesota. With artists of that caliber we already know that their phase two announcement would be massive. Released just a few days ago comes the announcement of the full lineup for Motion Notion 2017!
Additions to the lineup include artists like Ben Annad, Freddy J, WMNSTUDIES, Average Gypsy, and Alex Mei. Motion Notion has generally been a bass heavy festival, however we see the addition of several house and deep house artists like Ben Annad. The festival has begun to branch into other genres adding some variety to the maple leaf festival. In addition to adding some house they obviously have us covered in the psytrance division with artists like Avalon, Desert Dwellers, John 00 Flemmming, Shadow FX, and Moontribe to name a few.
This year’s Motion Notion is clearly sizing up to be the biggest yet and we couldn’t be more excited. Tickets are still available and can be purchased here. We hope to see you in Canada later this August!
