“A Day To Sing About,” gets straight to the emotion of things thanks to the production work of duo CAZZETTE. The single instantly inflicts a sense of dramatic hope as the house vibes slowly take over and the various synth notes and arpeggios lay on their groove. The down-pitched vocals are gripping as the storyline unfolds, the topline brought by LA-based vocalist Xander Rawlins (aka LAIKIPIA.) Warm and inviting while also deep and meaningful, “A Day To Sing About,” may just be one of CAZZETTE’s most memorable to date.
“I hate sounding clichéd or overly dramatic about it…but I think we knew at the time that this was special because it meant something to us.”
– CAZZETTE
Alexander Björklund and Sebastian Furrer, the two who make up CAZZETTE, broke through in 2011 with a fast paced growth track that caught the attention of tens of thousands. Their mixture of well-design electronic often equipped with infectious toplines was just what the scene needed at the time. 10 years later, their credits are vast and impressive, with their story far from over. Ultra Music Festival, EDC, and Tomorrowland are just a few of the events they’ve had the pleasure of performing, releasing on labels like Def Jam, PRMD and Strictly Rhythm.
In 2021, they are still making moves. After creating their own label Magnetic Tapes, they sold it to another large label titled Cosmos Music – an impressive feat given the trials and tribulations they’ve been though over the decade – they’re still going strong.
