This weekend, Charlotte de Witte is set to make a rare appearance at Brooklyn’s Advant Gardner with fellow tastemaker Victor Ruiz, as he makes his NYC debut, and Berlin’s mighty Monoloc.
Techno’s rising woman wonder Charlotte de Witte will be taking over the Great Hall on Saturday with her heavy-hitting, heart-pounding techno.
Charlotte’s rapid rise to the top began not so long ago, and in just a few short year’s we’ve seen her dominate the decks and main stages of the world’s most prominent festivals and events including Amsterdam Dance Event, Awakenings, Movement, Sónar and Tomorrowland. Making her Essential Mix debut in early 2018, the newly-appointed BBC Radio 1 resident now joins the ranks of some of the world’s most respected underground talent including Honey Dijon and Marcel Dettmann.
Armed with a string of impressive releases that include tracks on Drumcode, Mary Go Wild Black, Novamute and Suara, the talented DJ and producer will also be taking her beloved techno event series KNTXT on the road to Paris and London with more 2019 dates still yet to be announced.
Her latest powerhouse endeavor took place just last month at Ultra Music Festival. Although plane delay’s led to a shortened set, she still showed up with a heavy performance that easily made it one of the most memorable sets of the weekend.
Another rising favorite of ours hitting the decks this Saturday is Brazilian-born Victor Ruiz. As he touches down in the Big Apple for the very first time, you can expect to experience rumbling techno that showcases his background in rock and roll stylings. If we can promise you anything, it’s that you’re not going to want to miss a minute of this.
Berlin’s Monoloc will bring his brooding and sophisticated house and techno beats to the Brooklyn clubbing mecca. Having charted releases on Afterlife, CLR, and Dystopian, the well-respected producer has played some of the world’s most iconic venues and festivals including fabric, Awakenings, and Melt, among many others.
