The Tampa, Florida artist known as Chemikkal has now dropped his first release of the year. “Missing You,” a touching return from the soloist. Exuding character from tip to tail, the flow of this release is channeled through a multi-genre lens. The single brings together sentimental house music, future elements, pop, and more to complete the end result that we hear today. The track has a certain anthemic vibe to it, the mixing and mastering done on this one allowing the track to radiate a fun punch to it that amplifies the end experience.
The track has already been confirmed support via Austin Kramer’s UNreleased radio show, a form of support that does not come easily.
The story behind the single is cemented in heartbreak. The song was made around the time when the artist was going through a breakup, transitioning to a different point in his life. “Missing You,” is nostalgic and reflective, tapping into a sentiment that many can relate to – thinking about what could of been done differently and struggling with what was and what is now.
