Uprise music rarely releases a full album, but Christine has caught their eye clearly in a serious way, as she has taken the crown for one of the few full albums the label has ever release. Exploring Atom from Heart you find there truly are several gems found within and common threads that tie the entire experience together to feel like an album.
“Drama (feat. T La Rock)” was an original single teased before the full album release, but still take the cake as my favorite than all the others. “Lost Generation” was another that stood out, it’s sort of the ‘acoustic’ song of the album, featuring a more melancholy, introverted experience than the others.
The overall experience of Atom from Heart is one of a robotic-type world – techno, disco, retro synths – conveying themes and production elements that expand on this. Undoubtedly, I have never heard something like this before, but am glad I have.
