Over the years few artists have managed to establish themselves in the industry quite like Claptone. This masked figure has risen through the ranks and has solidified himself as one of the House music greats, all while keeping himself shrouded in mystery. Today he announces his second album Fantast with the new headline single “In The Night” featuring Ben Duffy on Different Recordings.
This first single ‘In The Night’ features smooth vocals from Ben Duffy, which paired with an upbeat and groovy production from Claptone, makes a truly memorable electronic pop gem. This new route from the usual dark club music marks an opening in Claptone’s career to new experimentation and growth as an artist. The track has a 70’s disco vibe giving the track an old school feeling, taking sound back to the origin of dance music as we know it today.
Fantast is already looking like it is going to be a crazy ride with a diverse group of collaborations including artists such as Bloc Party’s Kele Okereke, Blaenavon, Tender, Zola Blood, Matt Simons, and much more. The album is expected to release on June 8, 2018, but in the meantime, celebrate hump day with a little Claptone kick.
