Max Foley, widely recognized by his artist persona CLB, is at the forefront of the American bass movement. A veteran in the house music community, CLB has decided to make the shift towards a heavier style, zeroing in on his production expertise of dubstep, grime, and drum & bass. In just a little bit of time, this new direction has received support from renowned artists, such as Zeds Dead, RL Grime, Peekaboo, and Boombox Cartel.
With his original works having a number of plays on BBC Radio 1, Rinse FM, and other notable stations, CLB is clearly on the rise. His dynamic sound design abilities and seamless mixing behind the board have led to performances at Masked Ball in Cornwall and a headlining slot at Respect in LA. Not only artists and venues have noticed CLB, the talented producer has dropped singles on prominent labels like Space Yacht Records, Viper Recordings, and more.
Adding another underground banger to his resume, CLB releases “Untitled Riddim”, a reality-bending single. The track has been featured by the popular label FUXWITHIT and flawlessly blends vintage grime with early 2000s dubstep elements. Speaking out on the “Untitled Riddim”, CLB states, “This tune is like if Ternion Sound and Wiley had a baby, and I was the doctor who delivered it. And the baby came out blasting gun-fingers, smoking a cigarette, and drinking a Red Stripe.” Painting an energetic aura via powerful drums and a hypnotic melody, “Untitled Riddim” puts CLB’s production genius on full display.
