As American EDM begins to transition toward deeper genres, more producers have experimented and unveiled very compelling variations of their signature sounds. Corporate Slackrs, a Florida-based collective who prides themselves on experimentation, have released an aptly-titled addition to the genre with “Party Starter.” Mixing the iconic drums of tech-house with a hypnotic vocal chant, “Party Starter” only cements Corporate Slackrs’ ambition and ability to masterfully produce a cornucopia’s worth of genres.
“Party Starter”could easily fit into a Carl Cox set, a track which is accentuated by a grooving bassline and tribal beats and rhythms. The addition of the vocal and slight tweaks to the tech-house formula help elevate it from the pure tech-house genre and into the melting pot of deep house which is currently set to take the year ablaze. Given Florida’s track history of unleashing producers such as Henry Fong, Cedric Gervais, and GTA, there are no doubts Corporate Slackrs will take the coming year by storm.
