Dozens of new music festivals have been forming year after year in the United States. Many are commercial, but many are also transformational, involving yoga, art workshops, sustainable living and free thinking. Creatures of the Night is such a festival, and it will take place from October 9-11 at the Red River Valley Campground in Adams, Tennessee.
In addition to workshops and yoga classes there is, of course, music, and lots of it. West coast heavy hitters G Jones and Thriftworks will throw down (back to back? vs?) as they continue to shape the direction of slamming 808 bass music. Freddy Todd has been blowing minds at fests already this year, and he’ll be there to smash the funk. Brooklyn’s own son Space Jesus will be bringing his fiercely strange and psychedelic bass to Tennessee, and we’ve also been told by an inside source that he’ll be bringing many dishes of his mom’s spaghetti. Vibe Street, too, will fit right in slinging his wobbly grass hop in the green valleys of Tennessee.
Yheti, Nominus, Sixis, Mr. Bill, Kaminanda, Levitation Jones, Spankalicious, Of The Trees and a host of other glitch modulators will also be joining the party. Once festival season is (technically) over, you know you’ll still be thirsting for another get down. Transformational festivals are also an incredibly welcoming change of pace from the hectic and crowded environments at larger festivals like EDC and Bonaroo. Creatures of the Night will surely satisfy all your bass cravings and offer you a more open and relaxing festival experience. If you happen to be an artist, YOU can help put on the festival by applying to be added to the lineup. Find tickets and information on here.
