Always one to bring the high energy productions, Crizzly is back at it again. All has been quiet recently with the self-proclaimed Texan “crunkstep” producer, but he vaulted himself into the spotlight in a big way by giving the remix treatment to Bassnectar and Destroid’s hugely successful “Put it Down”. Sometimes artists can take it too far when remixing a track; essentially losing the original feel in the process and creating a new song all in itself. Crizzly seemed to toe the line beautifully with this one, keeping the infectious intro intact while replacing the heavy dubstep drop with a booty shaking crowd pleaser.
Keep your earholes open this summer and stay on the lookout for this one. Catch Crizzly at any of the Warped Tour stops around the country, Lollapalooza, and Werk Out Festival in August. If you can’t get enough of him be sure to dive back into his oldie-but-goodie Crunkstep mix to tide you over until you over until the next time Crizzly’s in your area. Take a listen below and as always, if you like what you hear go out and support the artist.
