Sonny Fodera has really solidified his spot in the house music scene over the last few years. His breakout moment came about in 2013 when he released his full length debut album, ‘Moving Forward’ on the esteemed label, Cajual Records. Since then, Fodera has released a plethora of singles on various major labels, compilation series ‘Deep Down & Defected’ and ‘In The House’ for Defected Records, and most recently his third album, ‘Frequently Flying’.
Fodera has accomplished more in the last few years than most aspiring producers could dream of. His style and mixing skills have resulted in the greatest honor of all; recognition from house legends, Green Velvet, Derrick Carter, and the ‘Godfather of House’ himself, Frankie Knuckles.
The Aussie native has made his presence known worldwide with international tours, festival appearances, and holding residency in the capital of electronic music, Ibiza. Lucky for us, he is returning to the US March 4-5 for CRSSD Festival at Waterfront Park in San Diego, California.
If you decide to check out Fodera at CRSSD, do not expect to hear the typical “top 100” tracks, but instead a set filled with reworked classics, as he is known to pay homage to house’s most legendary producers. House aficianados, make sure you save a slot for this talented producer.
