Crywolf kings online content and “Mabul” is the latest extension of why. An almost slow-motion underwater scene of a person floating – singing – hair blowing in the water, is what is visually exposed first in “Mabul.” As Explosion In The Sky type guitar and an almost tempo-less ambiance accompany a love psalm by the soloist, “Mabul” captures the attention to say the least. Reverb effects and howling vocals embedded in variety of sounds ranging from heavy mid-tempo influence tracks to slow, crawling music works make you feel things in a different way. Crywolf has always a dark / indie cinematic feel to parts of his music.
Paired with this, his live shows are insane, headbanging and energy being a common part of the experience. Crywolf is not shy when it comes to video, I have a feeling this isn’t the last heavy film content piece we see from him this year.
