When Dada Life said that Feed the Dada has the biggest drop ever, they weren’t lying. Having released the track the week leading up to Electric Zoo, the whole crowd was eagerly anticipating it being spun live. Unfortunately, well not really, they had to first experience a set that included all of Dada Life’s biggest hits like the unreleased Llove remix (seriously Kaskade we need this track), Kick Out The Epic Motherf*cker and Rolling Stones T-Shirt.
Except for incorporating Beastie Boys Fight For Your Right acapella, Dada Life’s set largely lacked any major creativity or variation from previous outings. There’s no denial in the mainstream appeal of flashy shows put on by Dada Life or Steve Aoki, but should we as fans demand more? The likely answer is that it’s difficult for main stage artists to deviate from expectations, especially when many are seeing them to hear the popular hits. I guess that’s why there are more stages than just one 😉
