Last night Daft Punk gave fans at Coachella a sneak preview of their forthcoming and highly anticipated album Random Access Memories set to release May 21st (as well as a lesson in proper marketing). A video projection premiered the almost 2 minute preview of their new single ‘Get Lucky‘, showcasing the duo next to Pharrell Williams and Nile Rodgers.
‘Get Lucky’ is poised to be the biggest track of 2013, with Williams providing a perfect vocal addition to an unmistakable audio of funk blasting Daft Punk creation – Rodgers drives the track on guitar.
The video concludes by listing the new albums “stars”, or collaborators if you will. Enticement much? The contributor list is jaw-dropping and includes: Panda Bear, Julian Casablancas, Todd Edwards, DJ Falcon, Chilly Gonzales, Giorgio Moroder, Nile Rodgers, Paul Williams and Pharrell Williams.
