The inevitable has happened, Daft Punk’s “Random Access Memories” has debuted on the Billboard Top 200 Chart as #1. The album leaking online early seemed to have very little to no effect on the albums release and subsequent charting.
“Random Access Memories” beat analyst expectations by over 39,000 more unit sales than the expected 300,000. Daft Punk’s last album “Human After All” peaked at #98 on the charts with the last electronic album hitting the coveted #1 spot was Madonna’s “MDMA”.
