The anticipation for Random Access Memories just keeps growing, as the heralded duo released a video early this morning of the “unboxing” of Random Access Memories. The video shows the two in a space-age corridor of sorts, taking us towards the control room as the album is contained in a folder marked “confidential”. The two proceed to open the album from the folder, which is in a classic vinyl format. They finally play the record at the end of the video, giving us a short clip of another unreleased song.
It’s expected that a full stream of the album will be offered through iTunes today. It’s not currently available, but when it does go live you can listen here.
This is just more and more hype for the already extremely hyped Random Access Memories. The album is set to release in a week (May 21), though rumors of a pre-release full stream on iTunes have persisted. The group is also set for an interview with Zane Lowe of BBC Radio 1, as well as being on the cover of Dazed and Confused magazine and having an extensive interview with them as well. Unfortunately, at this moment, there are still no plans for a tour.
