Daft Punk couldn’t go on The Colbert Report a few weeks ago because they were set to perform at The VMA’s. The VMA’s came, Miley Cyrus represented for America as a former Disney star should, but there was no Daft Punk performance.
Which begs the question, at what point should the fans feel like Daft Punk is abandoning them? They haven’t played a full production show since 2007. Every year another seemingly confirmed tour pops up, only to be discredited later. Did you hear that they’re playing Ultra 2014?
They did give Taylor Swift an award though.
