I broke the news back in June that Robert F.X. Sillerman, was back in the music industry with his intention being the consolidation of electronic show promoters (read more). Today it was announced that Sillerman has purchased DayGlow Productions (Life in Color), the promoters behind the world’s largest paint party. DayGlow joins Disco Donnie Presents as the second acquisition of a newly formed holding company, that will look to radically change the electronic music scene.
DayGlow has quickly become one of the leading entertainment brands, notorious for appealing to the casual edm fan and party enthusiast. Founded by Sebastian Solano, Paul Campbell, Lukasz Tracz and Patryk Tracz, the six year old production and promotions company stages more than 125 concerts annually in the United States with international events as well. Dayglow has hosted prestigious names like Axwell, Alesso, Chuckie and resident DJ David Solano. The influx of capital and network should increase the production of DayGlow and the experience for the fans.
Sillerman plans to acquire 30 – 50 more companies in the upcoming months, to create the world’s largest network of edm producers and promoters.
Dayglow President Sebastian Solano on the buyout,
“We believe that this partnership will give us the tools to continue to expand our brand worldwide and take our show to a whole new level, where our fans will experience something never seen before in EDM.”
It’s also important to note that Hard Events (Haunted Mansion, Hard Summer, Holy Ship) was purchased by LiveNation (Identity Festival, Sensation). While the popularity of electronic dance music continues to rise, we will continue to see the consolidation of the industry. It is yet to be seen whether this will benefit or destroy the scene.
