Some nights you wanna hear smooth happy vocals with light and airy beats. Go see Kaskade.
Some nights you want to step into a stimulating robotic war as though everything has grown mechanical arms and you feel as though the gears themselves exacerbate the very air you breathe…. in the most twisted gratifying way possible.
Thanks to our friends at NGHTBRD and Steez Promo, we were able to send two lucky bassheads to the show for free, and a few of your friends here at WRR were in attendance as well.
The night ramped up with some fresh glitch hop from Robotic Pirate Monkey. There is nothing quite like a good old electro build, just barely scratching the surface, setting the playing field of what is about to come next. Bandit (below) set the crowd in the right direction and got the greases flowing.
After the gears were in motion, the stage had been set, it was time to take it to the streets, fight club style. I am talking MUST DIE! throwing your necks for a 360. Your arms flailing, perspiration starting to set in, guns firing away. No joke. It was time to get wild.
At this point the crowd was filling in, and people were getting ready. But you don’t get ready without some Terravita and Butch Clancy’s help.
You can always count on Terravita to throw out something wild and different. One of the biggest hits of the night that the crowd was really feeling was “Bach Off”. The perfect harmony of hard electro house and drum & bass overlaid a gothic church going hard (yes, a church can do that) with Johann Sebastian Bach himself, perfect time, perfect place.
Last but never least, Butch Clancy threw down some trap-infused beats to spice up the night and make sure people were really prepared to break it down. And there is nothing better than ‘Ratchet Anthem’.
And then it happened. The time had come. Our Israeli psychedelic trance demigods had arrived. Infected Mushroom. They are not kidding around when they call it their FungusAmongUs tour. Two huge glowing, morphing, and changing orb eyes with some of the craziest and trippiest visuals you have ever seen. Amit “Duvdev” Duvdevani in one eye, and Erez Eisen in the other, had an infectious energy that made you forget that you had already been bouncing off the walls for four hours before they even arrived. But now it was go time.
The layers and complexity of sounds, along with the fact that they would change the visuals for every different song, sound, robotic war that was being orchestrated was mind-jolting. Duvdev was jumping out of his eye, getting on the mic and pumping up the crowd over and over again throughout the night. They even did a killer cover of the Foo Fighter’s ‘Pretender.’ You have to be impressed with these guys who invest so much time and energy for stage production that puts others on a McDonald’s level.
If you’re going to any festivals coming up whether it be Ultra, Wakarusa, Ultra Korea, etc., go see them. You’ll never regret it. Their full tour schedule can be found here. To get pumped, hear their full discography on Spotify here.

Rage on my friends.
