Back in 2018, deadmau5 graced his fans with where’s the drop?, an album of re-imagined orchestral arrangements of his previous work, in collaboration with musical director Gregory Reveret. He then went on to perform the tracks with a full orchestra over two sold-out nights at the iconic Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles. Now, he’s taken it one step further by taking this piece of work and turning it into a 15-track remix album, here’s the drop!
Set to be released on mau5trap this October 4, the Canadian legend has enlisted some of his favorites to make this album a truly unique and special piece for fans. On the lineup, you’ll hear the familiar sounds of Morgan Page, who deadmau5 remixed his 2013 single “The Longest Road,” delivering his own version of “imaginary friends,” Matt Lange dives into “superbia,” while other players tackle their own bits include mau5trap’s current artists and alumni like Mr Bill, Sian, Rinzen and Tinlicker.
Rather than making us all sweat it out, mau5trap has offered up one of the tracks off the album — Spencer Brown’s Remix of ” “fn pig” — along with the full track list for here’s the drop!:
