The Philly based, infamously ginger-haired Des McMahon has released a 2 track EP staying true to his grimy dubstep roots. The first track “Get Lean” features XNDR and mixes a soft reggae feel with a hard electro drop. “F**k a program” are the only words used throughout the song and it’s perfectly highlighted with break beats and heavy dub. The entire track gives off a very rebellious attitude, and perfect to throw on at the pre-party for a show.
The second track “Nerve Attack” features fellow Philly native, Architekt, and together they bring an even heavier electro sensation. Using a lot of echoes and inventive sounds, this track takes you on a futuristic dubstep journey. They never stop producing high-energy beats and sounds, taking on an almost hard-style feel. There’s really only one way to describe and sum up this new EP…it goes hard.
