Established events company DGTL is embracing SkyNRG’s SAF fuel for the artists they fly into their events. Global warming is something that is wildly apparent and isn’t going away unless individuals work together to curb it’s impact. DGTL has taken a deeper set of steps to offset the impact regarding this issue. From now on, the company will only use SkyNRG’s SAF fuel to fly their artists in to their events.
For those who aren’t familiar with the product, SAF fuel is produced using sustainable resources to replace petroleum based fuel traditionally used to tank up airplanes. On top of this, SkyNRG’s supply chain – from the start of it’s production to when it arrives at it’s end destination before fill up – is built upon a sustainable platform.
Here’s an important aspect to note regarding how the offsetting of emissions actually occurs with SkyNRG’s model:
‘SkyNRG uses a system for supplying SAF to DGTL called Book & Claim. With this system, SAF is not used on the aircrafts the artists fly with, but rather tanked into the fuel system of an airport close to the SAF production facility. The SAF produced and supplied is continuously tracked and the corresponding carbon emission reductions are then allocated to DGTL and the artists.’
Ideally, DGTL will be setting a trend that others will follow, if more companies who have large scale carbon footprints make changes toward green energy such as this, our future as a globe will be at a better place.
DGTL throws electronic music events around the world, initially starting in Amsterdam but expanding to Barcelona, Madrid, Santiago, São Paulo, Tel Aviv and Bangalore, their impact is massive and the music fans they’ve touched goes well into the tens of thousands.
