On Saturday, May 17th, 2014, the Lonely Island trio, Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone, and Akiva Schaffer, took a few shots at EDM through a skit titled “When Will The Bass Drop?” This skit was aired on the widely watched Saturday Night Live show and shortly after it was broadcasted the internet went crazy. In their two-minute film Samberg, Taccone and Schaffer manage to touch on several topics that commonly come up in our community – such as DJs pressing play and the amount that they get paid. Below we’ve outlined some of the Twitter reactions that we saw.
But the question still remains. Did you enjoy it? Yes, no? Did you hate it, did you love it? Let us know by entering our viewer poll below. Feel free to comment further in the comments section at the bottom of this page or shoot us a message on Twitter. We want to know your thoughts.
