Ember Island’s Remix of Didrick’s “Smoke” Is Like A Dream

Fellow member of Scandinavian trio Ember Island, Didrick earlier released his single “Smoke” ft. Amanda Fondell which features a more upbeat tempo, plenty of guitar riffs and funk, but it’s the Ember Island flip of this track, released as part of a remix package on PRMD Music, that has us wowed.

Featuring the amazing vocals of member, Alexandra Andersson, the track takes almost an ethereal turn with softer tones. Between the track and the video that accompanies it Ember Island brings us into a dream like state with sounds of indie-pop and instrumentals. Their ability to completely transform the track from its original creates a welcome rendition that could be seen as almost better.  The soft melodies combine perfectly with the softness of the snow, mountains and water scenery featured in the video which premiered on the Proximity YouTube channel.
