Dillon Francis‘ ‘Messages’ opens with an eerie melody before moving into Simon Lord’s vocals. Many of the synths, effects, and sounds remind me of other Dillon Francis productions. In my opinion over the course of his career – so far – he’s done an amazing job developing his sound.
Some of the elements that you hear in ‘Messages’ can clearly be related to back D.F.’s moombahton roots. I’m a huge fan of the vocal editing that comes in during the first verse before the first drop. ‘Messages’ was released yesterday via Diplo‘s Mad Decent imprint and is now available on Beatport. Also, I’d like everyone to acknowledge the extremely creative cover art – I’d expect nothing less from Francis and the Mad Decent crew.
